[food] Pompei

2955 North Sheffield

Another Italian place, but this one is hard to pin down. It's not a sit-down restaurant per se, but it's not fast food either, really. The claim to fame here is what they call a strudel. It's basically pizza dough wrapped around cheese, tomato sauce, and other ingredients, cooked in a big sheet and served in smaller slices. Similar to a stromboli on some level, but not the same thing at all. They also have pizza, and the fresh pasta is excellent.
