Lincoln Tap Room

3010 North Lincoln

This bar used to have live bands, feeding off of the recording studio across the street. The studio has since moved, and they took down the stage, but it's still a cozy little room, with a couple of decent pool tables and one of the only jukeboxes I've ever seen with a Primus album.

Ginger's Ale House

3801 North Ashland

A "traditional" Irish pub run by a couple of, duh, Irishmen, one of the nice things about Ginger's is that it's just far enough off the beaten path to keep the annoying element away. It has a decent neighborhood feel to it, and they pour an excellent pint of Guinness.
