Okay, nothing terribly profound to report, so we'll just get caught up on other stuff. The musical front is looking a bit more narrow than was previously thought, with that European opportunity looking less and less likely, but that's probably my own damn fault, as I had a chance to work with this band in the spring, and sorta blew it off. In my defense, I had just lost my girlfriend, my band, didn't know if I was employed on a week to week basis, decided to move out of my apartment of eight years, and was preparing for a three-week trip halfway around the world. So I had things on my mind.
Anyway, that seems like it's out, as does one other opportunity with an old musical acquaintance who had contacted me a couple of months ago. While I'm in the pipeline for The Ripleys after those two gigs a couple of weeks back, I don't know just how much work that will realistically bring me. I'm more or less down to just Lindsie Reitz and Nitrous Foxide, with one 70s-era Miles Davis-ish project a couple of months down the line. Which may be good, because there's some activity on the day job front. Keep your fingers crossed, this all might just work out.
In the meantime, I'm going to be calling the play-by-play for the Fire again tomorrow (Wednesday) night, 6:30pm central time on 1280 WBIG. If they win, I get at least one more game on the air on Sunday. I'm cautiously optimistic about the path this is laying out before me.
