Speaking too soon

now playing: Evanscense (via 94.7 The Zone)

After scanning the dial all morning, I finally heard the Fire radio spot, and I didn't make the final cut. I had a hunch that might happen, and I'm actually not terribly discouraged. If I'm not what they had in mind, I'm not what they had in mind, and I can just chalk it up to experience and work on getting better. Which I fully intend to do, because I want to be good at this. I should be able to make this work.

Did I maybe jump in too early? Probably not. Over time, I've become a firm believer in getting yourself into a "game" situation sooner rather than later, because if you obsess about being completely prepared, you'll paralyze yourself and never get anything done.

Anyway, now it's on to other things, and a bunch of musical or music-related projects that have been bouncing around lately. I may have found someone to take one of my drumkits off my hands, which will give me the money I need to replace a cracked crash cymbal and finally get another good snare drum.
