NP: Tomahawk, Mit Gas (CD)
I mentioned it elsewhere, but I've found myself in an ill-advised relationship and I really should know better. Sometime last week, I realized I am a Cubs fan. The five-game series with the Cardinals sealed the deal, as I was desparately tracking the games via Internet during my consulting stint. And who couldn't fall for the team holding Randall Simon back while the sausages ran by at Miller Park in Milwaukee? If you have no idea what that means, never mind.
As usual, it's the times where I have the most to write about and comment on that I have the least amount of time to do it. Although last week was mostly the baseball thing, there were a couple other bits here and there. Lots of musical semi-turmoil, and we'll see how that all shakes out in the near future. I've got a new project launching in about five hours that I'm really excited about, but don't want to talk about until I'm certain that it's real. On some level, it's the most ambitious band I will have ever been involved in.
In other interesting news, this site may or may not have cost me a job. Jury's still out, but I have a gut feeling that's the case. And I really do need to put together that "job lead leaderboard" I talked about a few weeks ago. Among other things, it would be a good way for me to keep a handle on what's going on. And perhaps amusing for the two of you reading this, which is always a bonus.
In other other interesting news, boy, do I seem to have pissed somebody off over on BigSoccer. Getting in an Internet flame war just feels so, I don't know, 1995.
There's more, but there's always more.
