NP: Radiohead, Hail To The Thief (CD)
I've read some stories that express concern about the newly-inaugurated governor of California addressing his money problems with a bond issue. The question is whether that does anything more than shift the burden to future generations, providing a short-term fix that will only make the problem worse, possibly much, much worse, in the long run.
Obviously, this isn't an issue. I can't be the only one who realizes that, if this decision did, in fact, have a catastrophic effect on the future, then someone from the future would come back and make sure Schwarzenegger was never elected. Right?
If I am the only one who realized that, I need to try harder to get a writing gig for The Daily Show.
The spam problem is mildly under control. At the very least, it's being kept off in it's own little sandbox until I stop letting bogus addresses go anywhere where anyone (including me) can see them. Which doesn't stop the jackass who is using my domain name, but at least it won't be causing me any more problems. 600+ bounced messages when I logged on this morning spurred me into action.
Preparations are mostly set for Sunday's MLS Cup in California. There will be drums. Drums, themselves, are not prohibited at the Home Depot Center, but oddly enough, drumsticks are, so we had to negotiate. I have a notion that we're going to have a lot of stuff that the San Jose fans, as well as the home L.A. fans, don't. Which will be fun in it's own right.
Other stuff that, if it's worth mentioning, apparently isn't worth remembering.
