NP: Radiohead, Hail To The Thief (CD)

Nothing like waking up to massive amounts of comment spam on your website. The offending entries have been removed, the IP has been banned, and what what I noticed about it is that it looks like the only affected entries were the ones that were ported over from Signal to Noise. This meant they had a posting date prior to the first main page entry, which was also spammed. Curious.

All of this would not be a problem in a Ronnie James Dio presidency. With added commentary at The Command Post. Yeah, I'm starting to travel the blogosphere proper, which will happen when you follow up The Week's "Blogger of the Year" nominations with a Wired story about InstaPundit's Glenn Reynolds and the blogs he reads.

If Dio could do something about the weather, I'm sure he'd get a lot of votes over the last week or three. There was this group that called themselves "The Magic Party" that would run for student government at the U of C every year on the platform that they'd make it 75 degrees every day. Anyway, I completely wimped out last night, skipping Gomez (which Weeza said was a great show, even if she disagreed with my description of them in l.i.t.c.) because of the cold and the cost, then skipping OK Go because I'd been laying around the house all day, and going out at that point would require too much energy. Today may be no different, with a reported high of 4 degrees. If I had to do anything, I'd bundle up and deal with it, 'cause that's what we do here in Chicago, but if I don't have to go out, why bother?

Except maybe for social atrophy, but two days does not a shut-in make.
