NP: Sugar, Copper Blue (CD)
The esteemed Mr. Mitchel at the XRT/Bud Light free Bob Mould show last night: "No wonder I haven't heard of him. I hate this!" Suffice it to say, it's now my job to prove him wrong, which is why I'm grooving on Sugar this morning.
And I drove to Double Door last night, and the night before for Ivory Wire. Whee! They got the last remaining part in yesterday, so I stopped by to get that installed in about five minutes. The car is fixed. In the interim, my credit is fixed. In the never-ending shell game of low- or no-interest balance transfers, I got a copy of my credit report, along with an explanation for a rejection for a credit limit increase of "too many open accounts." So I've weeded out old cards and whatnot, and I suspect I'm in much better shape now.
I was going to run down this whole litany of other things that have also been fixed recently, but that list either doesn't exist or is way too boring for public (?) consumption. Also, I can't claim to being terribly industrious when you consider all the CDs laying around the stereo out of their cases. Seriously, it's getting out of control.
It has come to my attention that I will have had at least one paying musical gig every week from the beginning of February through at least St. Patrick's Day. If I can keep that up, things will be good. Better, anyway. Couple that with some part-time contract work (fingers would be crossed if it didn't affect my typing), and I can probably justify "good" over just "better." Add some more radio work with the Fire this season, and we bump it up to "great." Winning the lottery? Probably too much to hope for.
