NP: John Coltrane, A Love Supreme (CD)
From the Washington Post:
In April, Kerry's Fundraising Nearly Doubled Bush's
President Has Spent $130 Million on Race
Without getting into the actual details -- which would require reading the article, and I really should be working -- could this mean that Kerry is actually running an effective rope-a-dope?
Elsewhere in WP, apparently GMail accounts are quite the hot item. Maybe I should trying using the fact that I've got one to impress the ladies this weekend. Or, maybe not. I'll keep you posted.
Now over to Coz for sports.
Thanks, Coz. After stealing game five in triple-overtime, it seemed pretty clear to me that the Nets had to wrap up their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Pistons in game six, at home. They didn't, and now the Pistons have advanced. The ESPN guys pretty much nailed it, in that they need a bigger presence up front than Jason Collins, and they need a real go-to scorer. Jalen Rose hasn't done well in Toronto, but I don't think he'd be a bad option if they can get him. Especially when you consider the preponderence of former Tim Floyd-era Bulls, including Tim Floyd himself, peppering the playoffs. There seems to be some kind of good karma there that I can't explain, except maybe that they had to work for Jerry Krause without the counter-balance of Phil Jackson and/or Michael Jordan.
And watching game seven of the Kings and Timberwolves, all I can say is L.A. in a sweep. That should shut NA.com commenter Victor up. Speaking of comments, the Japanese ones are spam, but they look cool, so I'll leave them up.
I'll be fixing the main page layout so this multiple post per day thing works better. Probably.
