Playing Into Shape

NP: Mike Keneally Band, Dog (CD)

If you're lying awake at night wondering "is Coz in good enough shape to play back-to-back soccer games," the answer is an unequivocal "no." Both calves started cramping up in the second half of game number two, and I think that was emblematic of the whole team getting gassed. We gave up two second-half goals and lost 2-1, after taking the first game 1-0 on a goal from 'Da Commish.'

I'm surprised that my shin didn't bother me too much. I ran through a tackle a couple of weeks back, and it could be anything from a deep bruise to a slight fracture of some sort, I don't know. It's actually more uncomfortable when I play drums than when I play soccer.

The soreness has been creeping into my legs all day, but I've got volleyball tonight and possibly another soccer game tomorrow. By the end of the summer, I'll either be fit or dead.
