Crime and Punishment

NP: Alkaline Trio, Maybe I'll Catch Fire (MP3)

Okay, I know I was at fault on the second goal. Fonso came out of the goal to challenge the guy on the near-post side, and I should have stayed with the guy on the far post, but I really thought one of them would get a piece of the cross. Anyway, I don't think it was worth the whole team standing me and Liam up at the bar afterwards. Sheesh.

So the long and short of it, no post-season celebration to speak of. Unless everyone decided to go somewhere else but didn't have my cell number. Whatever. Sleep not lost. In fact, excessive running meant sleeping like a baby, and not that passed-out drunken sleep, so it's probably a win in the end.

Speaking of punishment, no go on talking my way out of my parking ticket today, after computer problems (hey, it's not just me!) turned me away yesterday. I'm thinking about writing to the Getting Around column in my favorite local newspaper to ask if the city ever publicized the fact that they changed over from one space per parking meter to two in parts of Wrigleyville. That's my issue here. I knew they were enforcing the meters on Sunday, why didn't I know this?

I'm sure you've all seen the Bush quote from yesterday and the Keyes quote from 2000 by now. Click on the links just in case you didn't.
