NP: Death Cab For Cutie, Transatlanticism (Rhapsody)
Okay, I got all hot and bothered that I found out the winner of Iraq vs. Paraguay in Olympic soccer, until I remembered it was the other semifinal that I cared about and Tivo'd. Should have time to watch dark blue vs. light blue tonight before Vaughan's.
Digging the Rhapsody thing. Don't know if I'll pay $10 a month for it once I've got my free iPod, but it's not bad. Honestly, I never saw what all the uproar about streaming audio services was. Sure, it's not Napster, and you don't get to take songs with you, but if you're tied to a single computer for long stretches with hi-speed access, it doesn't suck at all. Maybe the price point isn't quite right, but the notion of "lease-with-an-option-to-buy" isn't that bad when it comes to music.
Meanwhile, the home computer is now spontaneously rebooting, and still dropping the wireless network occasionally despite the hotfix and the massive SP2 fix. The honest-to-goodness Diver site is coming along. Next up, the Section 8 mockup, 'cause I'm not crazy about the current site, either from the front end or from the back end. Might not make the USOC game tomorrow night, either. Little sister in town, and an opportunity to maybe, just maybe, bond with some co-workers. And recently minted very rich people.
