There and Back

NP: Various Artists, CMJ mix (MP3)

So I sat on a charter bus for about 18 of the last 36 hours, and all I've got to show for it is a box of BBQ sauce courtesy Jim Curtin's mom. I've got an idea for something that will read like actual journalism about the game itself.

Anyway, I could have made it into the office for about half the day, but I'm feeling like staying home was the right choice. I'm getting to the bottom of a couple of nagging issues, like why AOL thinks I'm a spammer and why my computer, fresh from its network-dropping recovery, started to imagine it was actually connected to the wireless hub without actually having an IP address.

After a morning full of sleep-deprived exasperation, I opted for the old uninstall/reinstall trick, and that seems to be working so far.

The most amazing thing about yesterday, despite the inherent 70s-ness of Arrowhead Stadium, was that I actually went all day without a single drop of coffee. I almost tried to extend that into today, but that was really not going to happen.

Coz - love your work, babe, but could you please figure out the difference between "its" and "it's?"

One's a contraction for "it is," and the other is a possessive.

Duly noted. And to be honest, I don't think it's (ha!) a matter of not knowing the difference, more than being alternately too lazy or too busy to proofread. Bad habit one way or the other, though.

I'm still kinda in shock over the "love your work" part.
