Calm Before The Storm

NP: Sugar, File Under: Easy Listening (Rhapsody)

I just can't get out of here fast enough today. Slowness, punctuated by more slowness, with a little bit of abject waiting for any sort of real projects to come my way for good measure. And cake. Which could explain why I've been fidgety for the last two hours.

Anyway, tomorrow should be much more interesting. We've just wrapped up what is the first major research report in our entire industry, and the white paper gets released tomorrow. This could be huge. This is a big part of why I took this job -- helping define the analytical space of a totally new market. It would maybe be better if my name was actually on the thing, but given the flood of calls and e-mails we will likely start getting tomorrow, that's increasingly okay by me. I'm working with a former colleague on this particular bit, and I seriously don't think he's ever seen me deal with this level of analysis. Heck, I even noticed this sense of atrophied brain tissue coming back to life as I dug into the data.

Also, if you're wondering, I had left it in the office on Friday.
