A Political Creativity Gap

NP: OutKast, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

So, I'm reading this article, and the following jumped out at me:

The voters who disapprove of Mrs. Clinton are numerous and unshakable, and they have been around so long that they even have a name in political circles. Hillary haters.

Is that really the best they could come up with in these "political circles"? Hillary haters? I don't think that's even trademarkable. In this era of framing and sloganeering, of complicated policy strategies reduced to TV-friendly sound bytes, all they've got is that they hate Hillary? How about the "vast anti-Hillary conspiracy"? "Citizens against former first ladies in political office"? "Keep Hill on the hill"? I am deeply disappointed with the estabilshed punditocracy on this. In an era of massive partisan mudslinging and a political climate of such vitriol, they should be able to do better. So it's up to the citizenry to succeed where others have failed.

I'm not a Hillary-basher -- which is what I thought this bloc was called -- but obviously, the sentiment exists, and clearly needs a better moniker if they're ever going to get invited onto Sunday morning talk shows. So have at it. Let's hear some more names for the anti-Hillary faction. I can't guarantee any prizes, but you'll have the smug satisfaction of being a first-rate wiseass in my book.

Comments

If you gotta hate something, why not hate Hillary Clinton?

Hillary supporters wish Hilary was worth the effort.
