NP: Stevie Wonder, At The Close Of A Century

Sorry, Mary, but here's another link to another long article worth reading. This time it's Jeff Jarvis' parsing of the Fox Network's rebuttal to the FCC. It's typically a good sign if I can actually make it through something like this without losing interest, at least with regard any singular article or topic's relation to the Coz-o-sphere. The FCC thing, to say the least, has captured my attention.

I am a little concerned that by fighting back -- and in particular, by criticizing the "second-class" status of broadcast networks versus cable and the Internet -- Fox might inadvertantly call the moral values kids to arms and fuck everything up everywhere. And I still don't get why no one talks about Bono saying "fuck" on another awards show years ago after U2 won "Best Alternative Artist."

If you're wondering how and why I've been posting so much, my computer is once again doing massive amount of unattended work, and I'm mostly resigned to waiting for it to finish before it can actually demand my attention.
