Sports Roundup

NP: Mos Def, The New Danger

I'm still struggling with this whole notion of Phil Jackson possibly returning to the Lakers. It doesn't make a lick of sense, but then again, nobody has been able to get the Zen Master to say if he'd even consider it. Of course his agent is going to listen to any and all offers. That's his job. Whether Jackson will consider them is another matter altogether, but the sheer unlikeliness of the scenario hasn't stopped the sports media from going on and on about it. The Knicks just make much more sense.

Meanwhile, (quite literally) closer to home, Jeromy Burnitz knows he's not a replacement for Sammy Sosa. He is, however, probably a good replacement for Moises Alou. This may be an important distinction, in a good way.
