Things I Continue To Not Learn

NP: CMJ New Music Monthly, Volume 127

Despite the fact that it never, ever works, I still reacted to a very crowded El platform after work yesterday by taking the Green Line the wrong way for three stops and then catching the northbound Brown Line. And, once again, I wound up at least one, if not two, trains behind where I would have been had I not done it. Maybe I'm a closet agoraphobic, I don't know. I do know I was ten minutes late to look at an apartment. Because I'm looking for excuses -- which tells me I really don't want to move, but that's part of a deeper topic that I may or may not get into later -- I'll probably take that as a sign.

I also need to remember that you always pick the higher seeds in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Yeah, I still would have gotten UW-Milwaukee and UAB wrong, but it would protect me from doing silly things like picking Texas-El Paso to make the final eight. That has pretty much taken me out of the running to win the hypothetical-so-as-not-to-be-incriminating office pool, I suspect.
