The Way You Move

NP: Rhapsody Featured Mix, "The Ones To Watch, April 2004"

I found this website vis Chicagoist, and it seems pretty comprehensive on the state of the Chicago Transit Authority and the "doomsday scenario" we'll be subjected to in July if nothing changes.

The site definitely has an editorial slant to it that some might take as overly pro-CTA, but it's backed up pretty strongly in many cases. There's some social theorizing going on about how drastic service cuts will affect the totality of the Chicagoland transit and economic ecosystem that borders on overly alarmist, but it's hard to be more alarmist than announcing 68 percent increases in wait times between buses and trains during rush hour.

As for me, I'm biking to work as soon as Kryptonite exchanges my pick-with-a-Bic locks, but I'd be doing that regardless of cuts to service.
