First, they eliminate the statisticians.
Then, they round up all the beautiful people (click for image if the story has moved on).
Finally, it's either Gattaca or The Island, I'm not sure which. Or how the statisticians part really fits in, other than a general clampdown on critical thinking in order to create a repressive, homogeneous dystopian society.
I watch way too much sci-fi.
You have to admit, though, the beautiful people bit is perhaps the perfect RedEye story. All glamour, and not a hint of news value whatsoever, landing it firmly on the front page of what is still, ostensibily, a newspaper.
