NP: The New Pornographers, Twin Cinema
Every once in a while, my procrastination catches up to me. Which is a bit of an odd mixed metaphor, but whatever.
I finally got around to addressing my new credit cards that were part of my creative financing plan for my new toys, and realized I was already late on one of them. Hopefully that doesn't screw up the promotional deal, because the whole "no interest for N months" angle is a big part of my strategy here. Not an immutable part of that strategy, sure, but I've got this big, twisted financial picture emerging, and not having to pay off those cards right away plays into it.
Meanwhile, I stopped in Best Buy about a week after Circuit City's price guarantee expired and saw my TV for about $150 less than I paid for it. On the one hand, I was only in there because I need to start looking at replacement car stereos, so it's not like I was putting anything off. On the other, it would have made a lot of sense to specifically go looking for lower prices four weeks after this kind of a purchase.
So consider that a lesson for those of you making big electronics purchases. Schedule a trip to look at prices afterwards so that you don't forget. It could save you some money.
