NP: Franz Ferdinand, You Could Have It So Much Better
I may need to start recording these press conferences. Ever since the mainstream media found their collective balls, they've been on par with Arrested Development. Talking Points Memo recounts today's hilarity:
QUESTION: Thanks. Is it true that the President slapped Karl Rove upside the head a couple of years ago over the CIA leak?SCOTT McCLELLAN: Are you referring to, what, a New York Daily News report? Two things: One, we're not commenting on an ongoing investigation; two, and I would challenge the overall accuracy of that news account.
QUESTION: That's a comment.
First, there's just the notion that you'd use the phrase "slapped upside the head" when addressing the mouthpiece of the ostensible leader of the free world. Then there's knocking McClellan's response out of the park like Pujols in the top of the ninth.
The press is going to miss Scotty when he's gone.
