Preach On, Brother Keith

NP: NFC Wildcard Game

Can we get Keith Olbermann on one of the major network newscasts now? Please? Here he is in a transition between stories about Pat Robertson wondering if God had struck down Ariel Sharon and NBC affiliates refusing to show The Book Of Daniel:

"Can't we just reset on this? Your religious beliefs might be right. My religious beliefs might be right. Our religious beliefs could all be wrong. There are a lot of options here. It seems as if it's no longer faith or belief to insist you, and you alone, are correct, it's just ignorance."

This sort of level-headedness shouldn't be relgated to MSNBC, the network Jon Stewart once commented "has more letters in its name than viewers." Of course, in terms of quotability, this was followed immediately by the General Manager of KARK-TV in Little Rock on the Daniel flap, saying "That's a personal issue for people, and we made a decision not to air the program."

So, being a personal issue, people should be denied the ability to make a personal decision about it? At least they're consistent.
