NP: Dead Can Dance, Toward The Within
Okay, so there was no jinx to speak of. On Tuesday night I signed the lease for the new place, and I'm pretty excited about it. What I thought was interesting was that, back in 1994, I moved out of a two-bedroom with a roommate to a one-bedroom apartment about two blocks away. I'm doing the same thing now.
Some other selling points: It's halfway between two Brown Line stops, so I'll be construction-closing-proof. And closer to The Globe, but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm on the third floor of what seems to be the tallest building within at least a short distance, but I've only been inside a place with the same floorplan on the first floor, so I don't really know what kinds of views I'll end up with.
I took a good look at the dimensions of the rooms when I signed the lease, and I'm happy to report that all of my stuff should fit with no problem. I still might purge some of the cheap shelving and maybe some other furniture in the process, but by and large, it'll be a good fit. Stalkers, please update your address books accordingly.
