NP: Lollapalooza Rhapsody mix
In today's installment of "what part of Coz hurts the most," it's my left heel by a wide margin. I took an excused absence from work for a half-day yesterday to play in the Fire's second-ever media scrimmage. Apparently, White Sox no-shows are part of the emerging tradition. Anyway, upon returning to the office, I already could barely walk. This morning was excruciating.
I had it diagnosed as plantar fascitis this week by an actual podiatrist, despite my general practitioner thinking that wasn't it. Of course, he downplayed my first ACL tear without even seeing it, which makes me wonder why I keep going back to him. Now, I know the reason I suffer from plantar fascitis is that I have high arches, so I figured I would try tying the laces on my cleats differently and see what happened.
What happened is that my foot still hurt a lot, so while the shoelace solution might work for everyday shoes, it doesn't quite cut it for more intense physical activity.
On the other hand (uh...), my foot feels mostly back to normal a full day later.
