The Covetous Fallacy

NP: Beck, Guero

So, I've seen several decent-looking laptops right around $500 or $600 dollars. Of course, both are on sale and the sale ends tomorrow.

The fallacy is that, if I don't act right now, I'll never see these prices again. Which is almost certainly not the case, but there's always that twinge of doubt, especially when you really, really want a new toy.

On the "trying to rationalize spending money" hand, if I see the features I want at the price point I want, then it's the right purchase, regardless of the implications for current cash flow.

Knowing my abject lack of willpower, I'll probably have a laptop by Sunday, or at least have one on order.
