Yes, this whole Scientological carnival has even touched the soccer world. I haven't followed the story to see if, in fact, Beckham respected his club's wishes and skipped the ceremony itself, but it's on my list of things to do once every single other thing I could possibly think of is accomplished. Of course, it may just pop up in my Fox Soccer Channel news feed, but that's different than me actively seeking it out, dammit!
