Developing Storylines

NP: Portsmouth v. Fulham

One of the unheralded bonuses of subscribing to the Chicago Tribune's RSS feed is that they do an awful lot of revising to their stories, so you can see how certain things evolve. Case in point is a web version of a story about the CTA track reduction coming on Monday titled "CTA head: 'Monday, hell begins'" versus the exact same story, which looks like it appeared in today's paper, titled "CTA gives go-ahead for a rail headache."

I have to admit, I'm kind of surprised both versions still exist online, seeing as how the headline seems to be the only thing different.

As for the content of the article, it looks to me like the bulk of the inconvenience is going to be northbound, which I have to admit, should be easier to deal with for me. As it stands, I'm trying to bike to work more often, and having tried that yesterday before realizing it was really fucking cold, I took the Lincoln bus home. Granted, it was already 6pm by then, and commuters probably wouldnd't be checking out alternatives late on a Friday, but it only took me about 45 minutes and it was empty.
