NP: Incubus, A Crow Left Of The Murder
As Hank will attest, I will occasionally get annoyed when certain online activists demand certain courses of action that, in my view, ignore how certain institutions actually function in the real world. But Paul Krugman (via Daily Kos) points out how, sometimes, forcing Washington out of its collective bubble may yield positive results for the Democrats in the near term.
This is as good of an opportunity as any to point out that this sort of thing is all about picking your battles -- there are certainly places where the culture of Washington might be changed, and the trick is sussing out where they are. Everyone has a different line in the sand. I didn't think the troop funding bill would be one of those battles, but I may turn out to be wrong on that one.
Hey, as one of your more faithful and avid readers, the least I should get is a link when you mention my name. If you do it for Kos, you can do it for me...
To be honest, I didn't realize you were updating it. I thought I had it flagged in Bloglines, and since I never saw any activity there, figured it wasn't current.
If by "updating it" you mean "two posts per month on average", then, yes, it's current. ;-)
