Meanwhile, Back At The Busted MP3 Drive

NP: Secret Machines, Ten Silver Drops

In case anyone is waiting desperately for an update on the status of my digital music library, the drive has been sent off to be looked at. If they can recover any of it, great. If not, I should be able to restore at least 2/3 of the music from my iPod, and I'll finally re-join eMusic and slowly add back the stuff from there, but a lot of that was "hey, it would be cool to check this out" stuff anyway that I don't really need.

Funny related story: I accidentally left my iPod on my desk at work when I left on Thursday. You have no idea how relieved I was when it was still there Friday morning. That would have made me seriously question whether someone somewhere was out to get me or not.

Anyway, once I have that sorted out, I'll figure out if I need to send a bunch of CDs out to get ripped, or if I can do it myself. Meanwhile, the Firewire mixer seems happier to be plugged into the front port. That still worries me, but it's proven a tough nut to crack.
