NP: Rush, Snakes & Arrows

I don't really feel like editorializing each of these separately, so here's the omnibus edition:

• From the show that gave this post its title, George Tenet and Ron Jeremy apparently played soccer together in high school.
• Another Obama-Kos flashpoint? This may be the last outright Kos komment for a while, as I finally unsubbed from the RSS feed. It strikes me as, to borrow a phrase, overestimating your place in the food chain. This notion that 160,000 MySpace friends actually mean anything in the real world is the part that makes me raise my eyebrows.
• Independents have overtaken Republicans. And we're closing in on Democrats. This is a good thing.
• The interesting part of this post is the reader comment and Tumulty's response. I don't think she makes a case for not doing what the comments is accusing her of, which is basically subscribing to what may be outdated conventional inside-the-beltway wisdom.
