Dana Milbank covers yesterday's press briefing, in the wake of the President emphatically reintroducting al-Queda into the Iraq "debate." What I find interesting is the first cited question for Tony Snow:
Fox News Channel's Bret Baier noted: "This morning the president said that al-Qaeda seems to be a bigger problem than sectarian violence. That seems to fly in the face of what we've heard in recent weeks and months on the ground in Iraq.""Well," the game press secretary replied, "you've got a shifting series of circumstances."
Emphasis mine. If Fox News Channel's White House correspondent is putting Tony Snow on the defensive right out of the gate, I think the shit has really hit the fan.
