Belated Observation
NP: The Mars Volta, De-Loused In The Comatorium
I know it's over a week old now so nobody cares anymore, but many people seemed to question the timing of President Bush commuting to work on a scooter, or something. On the one hand, it seemed the type of decision better suited to a Friday afternoon, or at least the last possible moment before the July 4th holiday instead of a full day before.
On the other hand, it was timed almost perfectly to coincide with the beginning of a two-week vacation by both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Coincidence? Although it you want to quibble, they should have done it after those two shows taped the previous Thursday.
