Note To Self

NP: John Cage, 4'33"

So, I feel like I learned something this weekend. There are two activities that have a tendency to populate my weekends: soccer and laundry. What I've learned is that there is a correct order for these activities, in that I should try to avoid doing laundry after playing soccer. I live on the third floor. The laundry room is in the basement. I'm old and increasingly decrepit, and the singlemost painful thing after having played a match seems to be going down stairs. So having to tackle three flights three and four times during the evening is not exactly my idea of fun.

On the plus side, a couple of nights using the splint on each foot seems to have relieved the Achilles tendonitis quite a bit. On the other side of the ledger, I got a sharp elbow to the top of my shoulder early in yesterday's game as I went up for a header, which threw me off a bit on the field and still hurts.
