A New York Minute

NP: The White Stripes, Get Behind Me Satan

On the one hand, you've got the Village Voice piece on Giuliani last week, along with other random pot shots along the way. On the other, there seems to be an increasing chorus of even conservatives coming to the realization that Hillary isn't the fire-breathing dragon the VRWC (vast right-wing conspiracy, natch) made her out to be.

With regard to the New York candidates, this solidifies one of the few early narratives of the presidential race that seems to have legs, and that is that Giuliani looks worse under scrutiny, while Clinton looks better.

This isn't the whole picture, obviously, but it seems to ring pretty true so far, and with all the ridiculous narratives pitched out by the monomaniacal media, at least one of them isn't complete bullshit.
