Cause And Effect

NP: The Colbert Report

So, Lifehacker points out that Wired points out how you can see who is behind anonymous Wikipedia edits, and then Fox News, The New York Times and Diebold all get fingered. I'm guessing the two are somehow related.

The more amusing angle is that the Fark.com entries were "obvious" for Fox News and Diebold, but "asinine" for the New York Times. I think that is somehow revealing, although I'm not sure exactly what.

I have a hunch this is going to turn into a mammoth crowdsourcing effort, and that these three examples will be just the tip of the iceberg. It's the first Web 2.0 scandal! Maybe!
