NP: The Knack, Re-Zoom

Other than the flurry of photos (fixed the category page problem!), it's been kind of quiet over here. If I have any "rules" about posting, they have to do with trying to avoid just posting the inherently obvious. Alberto Gonzales is a liar, but maybe not a perjurer. The post-Rove era may be revelatory somehow, but probably not. The presidential election is far enough away that it's not worth adding to the noise over. Hurricanes are bad. Michael Vick is a dick. Beckham can still play. You don't need any special insight from me.

I also try to avoid excessive navel-gazing posts, or talking about work, or about my personal life. With varying degrees of success, but I just can't imagine anyone wants to read that shit.

So it's quiet. The fear is that the cognitive processes that make those interesting connections between stories are somehow offline, but I think it's more just the lull of summer, like the violence in Iraq. I might find other ways to add content, but it took me five years to get the pictures up and running, so don't hold your breath.
