NP: Nine Inch Nails, The Fragile
Progress! On one front, anyway.
I got the desktop PC up and running last night, with most of the cabling handled a bit more cleanly than it was before. Actually, a lot more cleanly, but it could still be better. Moving the Mackie Onyx mixer to the other side of the desk made for one slight problem with audio cable lengths, but for the meantime, I just unplugged the analog out from the PC and used that longer cable for something else. It'll do for now.
The Firewire mixer is up and running, and iTunes has been restored complete with the last version of the library that I had been using. Which may not have ultimately been the best version, but it's been way too long for me to figure out which one I really needed. But it works, and that's what's important right now.
Next up is trying to sync my iPod for the first time in nearly a year, and then adding Microsoft Office and ActiveSync. Since I'm running IMAP and have pretty much all of my relevant Outlook information on my phone, I think I can get away with doing very little and just using my old PST file as an archive. We'll see.
