Surely The Only Post About McCain Titled "Suspended Animation"

As with pretty much everybody else tracking this story, I have to figure that McCain has to top "suspending" his campaign now that the bailout bill has crashed and burned. So, what, quit the race altogether?
And while the GOP line that it's all Nancy Pelosi's fault does seem absurd on its face, did she really think her comments contributed to the debate? At all? What did that accomplish, exactly?
UPDATE: Listening to Pelosi now, did she really try to tell a joke? "That depression didn't seem so 'great' to me"? And the "little cat feet" bit? Congress frightens me.
