Playing The Odds

NP: Elbow, The Seldom Seen Kid

As of Wednesday, FiveThirtyEight.com has Obama winning just over 90% of the election simulations, and winning by a landslide in a whopping 1 out of 3. Meanwhile Indecision 2008 points out that the crowdsourced InTrade.com has Obama as a heavy favorite as well.

With my annoying tendency towards worst-case scenarios looking at politics instead of dating and relationships for once, I find myself wondering how the election might find some way to defy these odds. There's still plenty of time left. Too much time. I want this over so I can stop obsessing about it.
