According to the New York Times, 79% of Americans are optimistic about the Obama presidency. Even 58% of those who voted for John McCain fall into that category. On the other hand, only 22% still approve of George W. Bush's presidency, which is almost exactly the amount you would need to get to 100 percent. Coincidence?
