NP: The Colbert Report
For some reason, I couldn't get excited about the inauguration the other day. The easiest explanation was that I was pretty consumed by the race itself, and this just felt like the medal ceremony. I was in Grant Park on Election Night, so watching the proceedings in Washington on TV just seemed superfluous.
No, this week was about getting back to what's important, to doing things the way they should be done. So it's only fitting that I experienced this historic event the way I did...by skimming a bunch of political blog posts for the last two days, and then watching coverage of the event itself two days later on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report via TiVo.
