Gone Sideways

NP: We Are Scientists, Brain Thrust Mastery

Haven't been posting much, because my personal life got painfully complicated on Monday. I think I've alluded to the impending condo purchase in some previous posts, and everything was going along swimmingly. Probably the only thing that could go wrong would be if I lost my job between the approval of the mortgage and the closing.

So, naturally, I lost my job between the approval of the mortgage and the closing.

The lender is supposed to call to verify my employment status right before the deal closes, and that poses a bit of a problem when I don't actually have a job anymore. This has led to a scramble to figure out how I might be able to salvage the deal, while trying to figure out whether or not my current apartment might still be available if it proves too hard to fix. So I don't have a job and I have no idea where I might be living in about three weeks.

This sounds pretty dire in about a dozen different ways, but there are two entirely possible solutions that don't totally suck, and I should know if one or the other might actually work out by the end of the week. As it relates to notabbott.com, I've got a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to write about, and may start adding content about online advertising and e-commerce to keep myself on top of things in case I wind up back in the same industry I just left.
