In Which I Post About People Agreeing With Me

NP: Jeff "Tain" Watts, Watts

Crain's Chicago Business reports on a survey that says hiring should pick up in Q3, which is what I've been spouting as a sort of party-of-one line about my job prospects. Granted, I'm not operating in some kind of vacuum here. There are a couple of positions I've interviewed for that are "on hold" as clients reduce their online ad spend -- and, as was reflected when eMarketer revised their 2009 projections heavily downward -- that's happening all over. And, as I pointed out when I was talking about Bing, advertisers will have to loosen the purse strings as we get closer to back-to-school season and then Christmas, and may actually be holding ad spending in reserve expressly for that purpose.

This could make certain decisions tricky for me, as I may have an opportunity to work outside of the country for as long as two months in the late fall.
