Steven Benen at Political Animal flags a column from E.J. Dionne Jr. with a provocative idea for legislators who think guns should be allowed anywhere at any time. I would love to at least hear GOP lawmakers respond to the question of whether or not they think this follows from the Second Amendment the way they say everything else does, or if the take a page from Torchwood: Children of Earth and deem themselves to be too valuable to be threatened by their own decisions.
On a similar note, I'd like to see President Obama sign an executive order canceling health insurance for members of Congress, at least until they pass health care reform.
