NP: Gareth Woods, "Shine Like The Son" (demo)
I probably used that title already, but seeing as how I've been predicting a schism in the GOP for years now, this Rasmussen poll is just irresistible. Slate gives all the caveats and why you shouldn't read too much into it, but I think the more important thing is that it puts the idea of a separate party out there in a tangible form. Someone, somewhere is going to run with this. To be fair, someone already has, either in Florida or California, but no one was giving that much credence.
You could argue that Rasmussen shouldn't get much credence, either, but the media loves their pollsters, so this may hold their attention. At least until someone else claims to have slept with Tiger Woods.
