Life Imitates...Something

NP: Explosions In The Sky, All Of A Sudden, I Miss Everyone

This week, it seems Glenn Back called Avatar a "smurf-killing movie" in response to some insults hurled at him by director James Cameron. Some of you may recall the South Park episode last year where Cartman reinvented himself as a Glenn Beck-esque character, and then wrote a screenplay he called "Dances With Smurfs," only to be told at the end of the episode that his movie idea had been stolen. By Avatar.

Unless Beck said something similar before Trey Parker and Matt Stone wrote the episode, they're either eerily good at character assessment, or Glenn is a South Park fan with a previously unreported sense of humor and/or self-awareness. I suppose it could be a coincidence, but that's a much less satisfying explanation.
