I'm suspicious of this chart, and not just because Salam carves out a range ($100K to $250K) that doesn't exist on the category axis to make his argument. If you sum everything north of $500K, you get approximately $1.3 million. And the number of households in each bucket is a factor in the argument to tax the ultra-rich, is it not? That's not represented anywhere here.

Also, $250,000 a year is 'comfortably beneath the upper bound of the “middle-class”?' When did that happen?
