Technology Fail

NP: Eric Johnson, Ah Via Musicom

Reading this article about the iPhone 5, I realized I have been assuming my phone can multitask. Typically, when I'm expecting a call, I end up dicking around doing other things with the phone. These things typically use the data network, and, if Android phones on Sprint behave the same way as the iPhone, end up effectively clobbering the phone's ability to receive the call I'm waiting for. So I end up getting a voicemail when the phone itself never actually rang.

Might have to test this later, and make sure to turn WiFi on at home to handle data tasks.

These smartphones seem less and less smart by the minute.
