Nice article in the Washington Post on file-sharing over the weekend. Jeff Howe is an editor at Wired magazine, and while there has been a bit of support for filesharing as part of the techno-libertarianism that they typically espouse, the pet cause there has always been, and will likely continute to be, privacy. So, the tack that "the problem is the DMCA" is both predictable and very interesting.
I've been saying for a while that the problem is in copyright law, but Howe does a nice job of explaining where the problems actually lie, and how the situation has gotten exponentially worse as of late.
